Shadwell in Bloom

Shadwell in Bloom was set up in 2003 to improve the look of the village and is mostly run by a team of loyal volunteers who had contributed to Shadwell winning the Yorkshire in Bloom Large Village category three times. More importantly they continue to achieve their primary aim of keeping the village a pleasant place to live, with flower beds, planter and hanging baskets providing a mass of colour and interest throughout the year.
Parish Council Newsletter
Shadwell News has now been discontinued, but the Parish Council publishes a free newsletter several times a year which is distributed is by volunteers to all households in the village. It gives updates on local issues, provides lots of contact points and the What’s On section is the place to find out about village events.
Local History

Shadwell Local History Society is not meeting at the moment, but talks and presentations on topics of interest are often held in Shadwell Library. Look out for details on Facebook.
Probus

Shadwell and District Probus Club is a fellowship group of retired and semi-retired professional and business people (and others).
