Cold Calling Control Zones (CCCZs) can help to reduce incidents of doorstep crime, raise awareness of the activities of rogue traders who target vulnerable people and give residents the confidence to say no to uninvited callers as a community, thus reducing levels and fear of crime in the area. They are suitable for small areas where there is clear evidence to show that there is an issue with doorstep crime, rogue traders or pushy sales-people. A CCCZ for Shadwell as a whole would not be feasible.
