Over the past few months there have been several incidents locally where burglars have gained access to homes by snapping euro-cylinder locks on UPVC doors.
Two nationally recognised standards exist for cylinder locks:
- TS 007 (Kitemarked 3 Star cylinders)
- Sold Secure Diamond Standard (SS312)
If your lock has no markings to suggest it meets either of those two standards you may wish to consider having it upgraded.
