The Independent Examiner, Tony Burton, has now concluded his examination of the Shadwell Neighbourhood Plan (read or download his report below).
Subject to certain recommended modifications set out in the report, the Examiner has concluded that the Shadwell Neighbourhood Plan meets all the necessary legal requirements, including satisfying the Basic Conditions for such a plan. The Examiner makes a number of additional recommendations, which will be considered before the plan is signed off by Leeds City Council.
In normal circumstances, the modified plan would then proceed to a local referendum, but all such referendums are currently suspended until at least May 2021 because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
An update on when the referendum will be held will be published as soon as possible. More details on the plan can be found by following the “Neighbourhood Plan” link to the right of this page.
